Our team of licensed bat professionals are pleased to offer the following services:
- Roost Assessment Surveys
- Preliminary assessment of buildings and trees to ascertain their potential suitability for roosting bats.
- Detailed internal assessments of buildings, including enclosed spaces and voids.
- Collection of droppings and completion of DNA analysis at recognised laboratories.
- Aerial assessments of trees, with Class 2 licence holders trained in aerial rescue.
- Emergence and re-entry surveys, including with the use of night vision aids.
- Activity Surveys
- Walked transects to obtain qualitative data on how bats are using a site (e.g. night-time bat walkovers).
- Remote (static deployment) surveys, with bat detectors deployed for extended periods.
- Advanced trapping techniques including Harp Netting and Mist Netting, supplied through our network of specialist contractors.
- Reporting, Licensing and Consultee Engagement
- Reporting to support PEA and EcIA and HRA requirements.
- Preparation of bespoke avoidance, mitigation and enhancement strategies.
- Designing and implementation of European Protected Species Licences.
- Engagement with stakeholders and consultees where appropriate to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Ecological Clerk of Work services, including oversight of licensable works.
