Badger Surveys
Aurochs Ecology is pleased to offer the following services relating to badger:
- Initial site appraisals and field surveys to seek evidence of badger activity in the form of setts, foraging evidence, push-throughs and latrines.
- Longer term monitoring, including with camera trapping, to confirm sett use and conservation significance.
- Bait marking surveys to ascertain territory extents and the presence of multiple social groups.
- Design and implementation of appropriate avoidance and mitigation strategies, including as part of a Natural England licence.
- Ability to register development sites under the Class Licence scheme, with the benefit of drastically reducing licence approval timeframes.
- Ecological Clerk of Work services, including oversight of licensable works and provision of toolbox talks.
